In this video, I show you how to create a masculine camping inspired one layer birthday card perfect for the guys in your life, especially if they love the outdoors. I really like how it turned out despite the fact that there is no stitching involved. Don’t worry though, I’ll be back soon with another card with stitching on it.
I loved that this card only used very minimal supplies to create.
My sister along with others have been practically begging me to put a store up with all the cards that I have been stock piling. Well, today is the big day! I revealed the opening of my Etsy store after much anticipation. Happy shopping!
I’ll be opening up the doors to my long anticipated Etsy store in about a week. Stay tuned!
In this tutorial I created a summer and nautical inspired gift tag. I thought it was fitting considering the weather in California has been sunny and warm. I had actually made something similar to this gift tag a while back for Kristina Werner’s Color Inspiration Challenge. Yeah, that’s how long I’ve been following this designer. If you didn’t know, she was the one who got me into card making to begin with. I was introduced to her videos through youtube when she first got featured.
Anyway, if I were to change one thing about this gift tag, I would not put the sentiment on dimensional adhesive and make it one layer with the cream cardstock and cardbase. Then I would put the eyelet on after everything is adhered down I could apply some string to the tag and actually attach it to a gift. Oh well. Cest la vie.
In this video I show you how to create a birthday candle template and stitch onto some Kraft cardstock using pastel embroidery thread. Most of my future cards will probably have stitching on them but not all. I think next, I’ll show you all how to create a shaker card which is one of my favorite techniques out there.
I have to say that you really have no idea how much production time goes into generating an idea for a card to producing a tutorial video. I must have spent 2 weeks on this video alone due to things not working right and making the actual card. I think it’s safe to say that you will never truly understand this until you create and edit a video on your own. However, needless to say, it’s very rewarding to get to see it all finished!
Hey everyone! I finally got some time to create my very first video tutorial. I created this card using stitching and splattering techniques. Hope you enjoy!
PS – Ermergerd!! My card made it onto Kristina Werner’s May Mail Call video 😀 So super stoked!
Here are some teasers on things to come for this blog. I thought I should put up some content at the very least if it’s just some cards that I’ve been making in the past couple months. They are far and few between but they are also some of my favorites.
You can expect to see a lot more stitched cards soon so hang tight!
